• How do I submit my event to the Chamber calendar?

Chamber members can submit their events through the Chamber Member Information Center. Simply click on the Events button, click Add Event, and complete the information.
  • Is there a cost to submit my event?

A basic event listing is free for Chamber members.

  • Are there any restrictions on what events can be listed?

The Yuma County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has set the following guidelines for staff when approving events.
    • The event must be held in Yuma County or on Cocopah or Quechan Tribal Lands and open to the public, no “invite only” events.
    • The events listed must not be business “events” that are part of the normal course of business (e.g., no store sales, restaurant specials outside of holidays, weekly/recurring meetings or contests, etc.). Religious services and political fundraisers for a specific candidate are also prohibited; however public/community events sponsored by a religious institution (i.e. pumpkin patch, holiday concert, etc.) are allowed.
    • Events that are a series (classes or similar) where a participant registers or signs up once for the entire series will only include the initial meeting date on the calendar.
    • All entries for the online calendar should be submitted no less than 10 business days before the date of the event to allow time for review and ensure posting to the Community Calendar.
    • No solicitations will be accepted—nonprofit organization fundraisers (i.e. golf tournaments, annual dinners, concerts, etc. are allowed). Community fundraisers benefiting a person or family generally are not allowed but may be accepted at the discretion of the Yuma County Chamber of Commerce.
    • No individual events will be permitted on the calendar ( i.e., garage sales, birthday parties).
    • Self-posted online listings made through the Chamber website’s Member Information Center are free to Chamber members.
    • The Yuma County Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to decline event submissions. Exceptions to these guidelines may be made at the discretion of the Yuma County Chamber of Commerce.
    • The Yuma County Chamber reserves the right to limit the number of postings from any one organization and to reject any posting when deemed to be offensive, inappropriate, or not in the public’s interest or conflict with this policy or the mission of the Yuma County Chamber.  The Yuma County Chamber of Commerce can discontinue the Community Calendar program at any time if they see a need to do so.
